Our story · The atelier
Golden Glaze is a modern pastry house devoted to the beautiful possibilities of one simple form.

The beginning
Golden Glaze began with a shared frustration: the donut was either treated as a novelty or an afterthought. We saw something else—a perfect canvas for serious pastry craft, warm hospitality and modern ritual.
Today, our ateliers bring bakers, chocolatiers and hosts together under one roof. Everything is made on-site, every morning, with a pace that protects quality.

A short history
The first Golden Glaze notebook begins in a small apartment kitchen.
A pastry team forms around one idea: make the everyday feel ceremonial.
Our first doors open on a quiet, sunlit corner of Melrose.
San Diego and San Francisco join the Golden Glaze story.
The method
Technique matters because pleasure is physical: the delicacy of a crust, the pull of the crumb, the exact point where glaze yields.
Our brioche dough develops slowly for depth, fragrance and an almost weightless crumb.
Each ring is formed by hand, then proofed to the precise point of tenderness.
Whole ingredients are cooked in small batches and applied at exact temperatures.
The final details are placed by hand, one piece and one decision at a time.
